Vice President, Government Engagement
James Cemmell is Vice President, Government Engagement at Viasat (previously Inmarsat) and is active on government agendas including corporate transaction clearances, innovation, space policy, and international affairs, with a particular focus on EMEA. He set up and lead a series of emerging market international development programmes in Asia and Africa, which were awarded Champion status by the WSIS (UN affiliated).
James has an MBA from the University of Cambridge, Judge Business School (awarded an Academic Prize); BSc Mathematics First Class (OU); an MA International Development BCID; Certificate of Advanced Studies, International Trade Regulation, World Trade Institute; and
is a Policy Fellow at the Cambridge Centre for Science and Policy (CSaP), Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society. Interests include space policy, international development, and mathematics.
