David Long

David is the Chief of Staff at Delta Capita, the leading Managed Services, Technology Solutions and Consulting provider to the Financial Services industry.

David leads Risk & Controls oversight, Delta Capita's M&A and is a member of the board of directors. David has had an extensive and broad career spanning more than 30 years in Tier One Investment Banks.

He has held senior positions including Group COO for EMEA, Chief of Staff, COO Fixed Income, Executive Board member and legal entity directorships of both Credit Suisse and industry-wide entities including the British Bankers Association and EBS (world’s largest FX broker).

Throughout his banking career David was based in the Trading Divisions of global banks. Starting as a Trading Assistant in Interest Rate Derivatives, David’s career has taken him through a wide ranging cash & derivatives product suite including FX, Fixed Income, Commodities and Equities.

David is an expert in the effective operation of Trading Businesses, including First Line of Defence controls and commercial strategy optimisation. David specialises in the study of Conduct and Behaviour, and leads Conduct training for the Banking Industry.

David holds both the certificate and diploma of the Institute of Directors, is a member of the Institute of Operational Risk and gained an MBA from Bayes Business School
